Current Church Plants

It Can Be Done!

These church planters have made the journey. They began with a call from God, went through the assessment process, completed EFCA Boot Camp, and now are planting a church to the glory of God. It is possible, the journey can be made!  Are you next?

If you're not called to church plant, you can help these church planters by financially supporting their vision.

Justin and his wife Candace married in January, 2006, and have two little boys; Micah and Mathias. Both Justin and Candace are native Texans, and grew up in San Antonio. Justin is a graduate of Dallas Seminary and has a passion for church planting. Justin has been a part of several church plants, and believes that starting new churches is one of the most essential and effective ways to reach a community with the gospel. Justin is planting Stone Oak Bible Church in the Stone Oak community of north central San Antonio, and his heart is to see people whose lives have been changed by Jesus who are sent out into their community to make Him known.

Stone Oak Bible Church, Houston, Texas
michaelkraft116@gmail.com

Mike Kraft was born and raised in Moline, Illinois and put his trust in Jesus at an early age. During high school, Mike felt a pull from the Lord to pursue vocational ministry and attended Trinity International University for undergrad followed by Trinity Evangelical Divinity School for his Masters of Divinity.

It was while at Trinity that he met his wife, Ariel, and they both are very passionate about seeing others experience the love of Jesus and transformation through the Holy Spirit. They have spent the past six years serving at Calvary Church in Trumbull, CT where Mike was the Pastor of Students and Young Adults. During their time there, God made it very clear to Mike and Ariel that He was leading them into church planting and they could not be more excited to partner with Stone Oak Bible Church to plant a church in San Antonio.

Mike and Ariel are blessed with two beautiful girls, Karis (3) and Teah (1) and they eagerly await the arrival of their daughter Shannon (2) who will be coming home shortly from Uganda.

For more updates on the Kraft family and specific details on how God led them into church planting, what their vision for this church is, and how they were led to San Antonio, please visit their website at www.kraftfamilylife.com or contact Mike at michaelkraft116@gmail.com.

Zack McCoyZack McCoy

Redemption Church
zack.mccoy@redemptionhou.com

Zack and his wife Kim met in their hometown of Amarillo, TX and have been married since 2005. After living in Austin and Dallas, they moved to the Houston area in 2009.

In 2013, with the support of Kim and their current church (Crossbridge Church in Sugar Land, TX), Zack decided to plant Redemption Church inside Houston's inner loop, close to the neighborhood where they already lived and the Texas Medical Center where Kim already worked. One of Zack's first tasks was to recruit his friend and former classmate Todd Parish and his wife Amanda to come help. Redemption launched in the spring of 2014 and is devoted to being a safe place for absolutely anyone to explore and encounter Jesus.

Zack has a Master of Theology (ThM) from Dallas Theological Seminary. He worked in finance (at a hedge fund and in a management consulting role), spent time in the math PhD program at UT Austin and holds a BA in math and economics from Yale University. Kim works as a Physician Assistant at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Enlace Cristiano
ronci2@msn.com

Fernando and his wife Dinorah were born in Mexico City, but came to San Antonio, Tx more than 25 years ago, were he finished his College degree at Texas Bible College and became the Associate pastor at Communion Chapel for more than twenty years. After much prayer, both of them started planting Enlace Cristiano (Spanish speaking church) in September 2013 and began meeting in different places around the city. Today they are meeting at San Pedro Presbyterian Church at 1 pm every Sunday to minister (primarily) to Hispanics that have made San Antonio their home. Fernando believes that this ministry for those who are coming from other countries is vital, due to the fact that many do not know the Lord as their Savior and therefore have no desire to serve the community they now belong to. It is Enlace Cristiano's goal not only to share the gospel, but to help them serve God and this country!
